On Thursday, April 16th, 2015, the European International School Ho Chi Minh City (EIS) organized an Evening Reception to celebrate the achievement of EIS becoming an International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum World School at the Intercontinental Asiana, District 1 HCMC.

The IB is a non-profit making Swiss Foundation registered in 1968. The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment.

In response to the invitation from EIS’ representatives, from CEEC side, Ms. Magdalena Krakowiak (Vice Chairwoman) and Ms. Helga Nagy (Treasurer) took part. The Reception started with the welcome drinks, followed by some opening remark, speeches by representatives of EIS and Ms. Nicola Connolly (EuroCham’s Chairwoman).
