March 29, 2017 @ 9:04 am
We are pleased to invite you to the next edition of “Meet to meet the SDG” – CSR-Calendar Forum on Wed. 29.3.17 in Hanoi and on Thu. 30.3.17 in HCMC in cooperation with the UN REDD Program Vietnam
WHY BUSINESS SHOULD LOVE THE FOREST
In accordance with Global Forests Report 2016 by CDP, 24% companies state that on average a quarter of their revenues depend on commodities linked to forest: cattle, palm oil, soy and timber. While 81% of companies which sit at the top of global commodity supply chains, have experienced impacts related to forest-risk commodities that have resulted in substantive changes to operations, revenue or expenditure in the past five years. Our breathing, drinking, source of materials and pocket somehow connect to forest!
But the forest also plays a key role in mankind’s development, in its cultures, its spirituals, but also serving as a source of food, health, protection and safety. Forest means just much more than millions of trees – it means life for each individual but also for business.
Respecting the forest is the origin of sustainable thinking – so don’t forget the forest, we need it! We highly recommend to follow the below links for program details an the online-registration:
