10:05am – Welcoming from CEEC Chairman, Marko Moric

10:10am – Presentation by Matthew Lourey – Managing Partner, Domicile Corporate Services will include following points:

  1. How can businesses adopt an efficient risk management approach on all levels of compliance, to mitigate any potential complications?
  2. What are the labour implications of the current crisis and how should companies undertake labour compliance?
  3. How is the situation with work-permits and visas for foreign staff, what are the implications here and what should companies do?
  4. Are companies allowed to unilaterally terminate employees, if they are facing critical operational difficulties? And how does insurance work in case employees get sick?
  5. How does the government support businesses active in Vietnam, and what are the incentives and potential tax breaks/deferments?

Vlad Savin is currently active in business strategy and development, advising international investors with market entry and compliance governance in Vietnam and across the Asia region. He is a business development, finance and marketing professional, and has resided in Southeast Asia for the last 7 years. Vlad has a wide experience in personal and corporate finance, working with investment firms in Malaysia in Vietnam, with extensive knowledge in business consulting, strategic analysis, client engagement, marketing and events with international exposure.

Matthew Lourey – Managing Director of Domicile Corporate Services

Matthew is a qualified accountant who has resided in Vietnam for more than 15 years. Matthew leads Domicile Corporate Services, which provides market entry, corporate advisory, compliance and tax advisory to foreign investors in Vietnam. He has extensive experience working in Australia for Big 4 accounting firms and investment funds, and since Matthew relocated to Vietnam, he has spent much of his time advising foreign investors on successfully undertaking business in Vietnam, corporate investment transactions, market entry and corporate finance.

Minh, is Partner in charge of Tax & Business Advisory Services of Mazars Vietnam. With more than 12 years of professional experience at one of the Big4 and Mazars, Minh has developed into one of the leading Tax advisors in the Vietnamese market, with class leading skills particularly in International Tax, Transfer Pricing, and corporate restructuring. He is currently a member of Vietnam Tax Consultants’ Association (VTCA) and also holds the Practicing Certificate for tax procedures in Vietnam. With his extensive experience in tax and legal areas, Minh is a successful speaker at seminars/ conferences for clients and he also provides teaching and training courses at leading financial and accounting training organizations of Vietnam.

Martin Koerner – The Anam Group Director, Sales, Marketing & Distribution

Martin works and lives in Vietnam since 2012 and currently holds the position of Group Director Sales, Marketing and Distribution of The Anam Group Vietnam as well as Chairman of the Tourism & Hospitality Sector Committee of EuroCham. Martin is creative and passionate in his approach to challenges. Over the years, he has developed an in-depth understanding of cultures and geographies, enabling him to navigate through the intricacies of communicating and developing relationships in various parts of the world.
