The speaker, Mr Dannis Teo, has been recognised as one of the foremost thinkers in supply chain strategy by the Supply Chain Council of China.

Synopsis of the Breakfast Talk: Over the last decade, Vietnam witnessed an explosive growth in manufacturing, initially as a supplier of cheap labour for labour intensive industries but also rapidly expanding its foothold into higher value added industries including electronics, consumer appliances, chemicals and IT outsourcing. The rapid growth and migration into more complex supply chains will bring challenges that will test Vietnam’s mettle of whether it can truly challenge China as one of the key supply chain centres of the world. Leveraging from the speaker`s 15 year experience in China supply chain, the session will address some of the supply chain challenges that Vietnam enterprises will face as it builds up its manufacturing and high tech industries. Through a case study, he will share the strategies and tactics employed by MNCs leveraging supply chain superiority to outmanoeuvre competitors and maintain sustainability of such competencies.
