The meeting would be focused on the trending topic of food safety and water quality in Vietnam. Aside from great presentations from our VIP guest-speakers, the Christmas season will be celebrated.

  1. Quality & Food Safety: A Nestlé Vietnam Perspective

Mr Ganesan Ampalavanar, CEO of Nestlé Vietnam Ltd.

Mr Ganesan R. Ampalavanar has been Managing Director at Nestlé Vietnam Ltd since 2015. Mr Ampalavanar served as the Managing Director at Nestlé Lanka PLC from 2013 to 2015. Mr Ampalavanar served as Sales Director of Nestlé India of Nestle Malaysia Bhd since 2008. He was Head of Sales at Nestlé from March 2008 to January 2013. He started his career with Nestlé Malaysia in 1991 as a Management Trainee. His career at Nestlé spans over 20 years, where he has served various positions in Sales, Brand and Commercial Management. Mr Ampalavanar served as Sales Director of Nestle Malaysia Bhd. He served as an Executive Director at Nestlé Lanka PLC from 2013 to 2015. He served as a Member of Management Committee of Nestle India Ltd.

Mr Aron Szabo, Director BWT Sales in Vietnam

Aron is representing various companies in Vietnam, one of them is BWT, one of the world’s biggest water purification specialists. Aron has fitted Deutsches Haus, an award-winning development opened in HCMC in 2017 with state of the art-water treatment facilities.

Dr Dao Ha Trung, President of Hi-Tech Association in HCMC and Honorary Consul of Austria

Dr Dao Ha Trung (Mr.), President of Hi-Tech Association in HCMC, Chairman of TE-FOOD International GmbH and Honorary Consul of Austria. Trung has more than 20 years of experience in EU and Asia business. He will show case studies “What is the potential of blockchain in achieving supply chain transparency? What are the obstacles of the implementation?  How will the future of food traceability look like?”

  1. Transparency and Trust in the Food Chain

Mr John G. Keogh, Managing Principal of Shantalla

Mr Keogh is a dual Irish-Canadian citizen living in HCMC since 2013. He is a strategist, advisor and researcher with 30+ years of experience in executive leadership roles as Director, VP and SVP in supply chain management, information technology, management consulting and global supply chain standards. He advises the public and private sectors worldwide and is a sought-after subject matter expert and keynote speaker. Mr Keogh is president and managing principal at Shantalla Inc. (HCMC and Toronto) and fulfils roles as a board advisor to Bluewave Financial Advisory in Ho Chi Minh City and a board advisor to Origin Trail, a Slovenian-based Blockchain protocol provider. He is the chairman of the blockchain-centric Trace Alliance and co-founder and chairman of the Vietnam Food Integrity Center. His advisory and academic research focus is on supply chain integrity and how technologies such as IoT, blockchain etc. can combine with industry standards and analytical science to improve food safety, reduce food fraud and enhance transparency and trust. Mr Keogh holds a PGDip in Mgmt., an MBA in General Mgmt.. an MSc in Business and Mgmt. Research and he is currently a doctoral candidate research food chain transparency and consumer trust.
