“Bildungscampus Deutschland”, planned in Ho Chi Minh City

Publikálva:

Following the successful implementation and commissioning of the flagship project and premium office building “Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City” located in the Vietnamese metropolitan city of which it bears the name, Germany is setting the course for another significant project within the framework of the strategic partnership between the Federal Republic of Germany and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The “Bildungscampus Deutschland” (Educational Campus Germany) project consists of two parts. First, Germany and Vietnam plan to expand and rebuild the International German School (IGS) in Ho Chi Minh City. The school will have a capacity of at least 600 students. Second, the two countries are going to build a modern German vocational school centre, where 600 vocational students will learn vocational advanced skills for their future in Vietnam and Germany according to the dual vocational training model.

In order to achieve the greatest possible efficiency through the joint use of common rooms and sports facilities, both institutions will be combined into one campus planned as a new development with multiple buildings.

The total investment for the new construction project is estimated at 25 million Euros.

On 9 November 2018, the German Bundestag approved total funding of 18 million Euros in the federal budget of 2019-2021 for the “Bildungscampus Deutschland” project in Ho Chi Minh City. The additional investment capital will be provided from the circle of investors of Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City.
