The trade relationship between Vietnam and CEE region has been stronger than ever before, especially with the implementation of the EU-VN Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).
In 2020, the import-export turnover between Vietnam and CEE countries proved the potential and upcoming opportunities for the future. Austria imported a significant amount of goods from Vietnam, which calculated as €2777 million, contributed 8% of Vietnam in extra EU imports. The following countries are Poland (€1322 million), Slovakia (€1073 million), Hungary (€904 million) and so on.
Poland takes the lead among CEE countries in regard to export goods to Vietnam with €349 million. Austria goes after with €231 million. Other CEE countries export turnover remains under €100 million.
