Polish films screening in Hanoi, HCMC and Danang

Publikálva:

As a part of HANIFF 2018 “Hanoi International Film Festival” and to mark the centenary of Poland’s regained independence, the Polish Filmmakers Association is holding a series of block screenings of films encompassing works of indisputable artistic and historical worth, particularly those which tackle the topic of the fight for freedom.

The works selected for the programme provide an insight into Polish history from the viewpoint of several generations, ranging from Andrzej Wajda, now a classic figure of Polish cinema, to Jan Komasa, a representative of our youngest filmmakers. They also include Roman Polański’s The Pianist. The catalogue of all films can be found here.

The international screenings of the films are supported by the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda. The Polish-Vietnamese Parliamentary Group and the Vietnamese-Polish Parliamentary Group are patrons of the event and representatives of both groups will be attending the screenings, which also enjoy the patronage of the Vietnamese-Polish Friendship Society and the Polish-Vietnamese Friendship Association.
